It is with heart-felt gratitude that we thank the models who participated in the Spring 2011 Photo Shoot. These ladies are amazing yogis and friends. It is not always easy to capture just the right shot, especially when the yoga position has to be perfect first. We, then, race into the field of the photo and adjust the clothing to eliminate the wrinkles. This season we have four fabulous models: Sarah Culter, Peyton Prater, Isha Eve Emley (not pictured) and Kathryn Visser.
Sarah Culter (wearing the ocean ruffled skirt) is a fourth grade teacher at Montclair School of Academics and Enrichment. Imagine having such a beautiful woman as your teacher. She also teaches dance and cheerleading at various dance studios in Denver, Colorado. Sarah was a Denver Bronco cheerleader a few years back, hence, all the jumping. Thank you, Sarah. You brought so much energy to the shoot. Sarah enjoys classes at the local Core Power yoga studio.
Petyon Prater (standing in the black dress) is studying English at CU Boulder and hopes to be a writer and teacher in the near future. Peyton is Becky’s daughter and continues to support her mother any way she can. Great job, Peyton, and thank you for participating, even with a fever.
Kathryn Visser (wearing the blush tunic) has a dedicated yoga practice for over nine years. She teaches Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga in Boulder, Colorado, and is currently pursuing Anusara certification. With each photo shoot, Kathryn has a more refined body and skill—she is truly remarkable! She can be found on Facebook at Ebb and Flow Yoga or at email@example.com. Sign up for Kathryn’s Ashtanga Improv class using the following link: www.treetopstudio.com.
Isha Eve Emley (on home page in white Grace Dress) has been a great supporter of Beckons since the beginning. She has participated in several shoots, pulling herself out of her contemplative yogic lifestyle to join the momentary commercialization of yoga. We are very touched by this sacrifice. She teaches yoga and meditation in Lyons, Colorado. We have been fortunate to have her conduct fabulous workshops at the Beckons Headquarters. Participants leave wondering, “What just happened to me?” Thank you, Isha, for giving so much of yourself to help others on their spiritual journey. Find out more at www.lyonsyoga.com.
A special thanks goes to John Eisele, our photographer. He continues to provide great consistency and outstanding photos. Each shoot gets better. You will find him at www.johneiselephotography.com.
